“ A restaurant with a good variety of options and a spectacular view on the 2nd floor with balcony seating. Here, you can capture stunning views of the city and the lake while enjoying your meal. We walked by and saw the Lunch Promotion Sets, which had meals going at pretty decent prices (CHF16-25 for a main with salad and soup) considering the area, and fondue at CHF35 per portion. The service of this place varies by staff. When I enquired with the wait staff if the Lunch Menu at the door was still available at about 2pm, she said yes but was a little impatient. This wait staff took some time to get to our order and seemed a little overworked. Another wait staff seemed happier and was more cheerful when refilling our jugs. The Curry Chicken Wings was lightly spiced and grilled to a juicy perfection and the roasted potatoes had skin baked to a crisp. The Curry honey mustard style sauce was really tasty and I found myself dipping almost everything into it. The grilled perched with polenta cakes has got to be the best meal I had tasted in Switzerland. The polenta cakes had a cheesy, ctirusy flavour and the fish was flaky with a firm bite with its skin skilfully charred with a dash of cajun. The two sets came with a big portion of salad in a serving pot, to be shared, along with two cream-based soups. The fondue wasn't what we expected as it came with a strong flavours of white wine, the piquant flavour of blue cheese and strong shroomy notes. It was quite salty and much too strong for our palate though I would think that this is the real deal, not the watered down, Americanised nacho cheese version you would taste at hotel buffet lines in Singapore. The potatoes were boiled and tasteless, fair enough, to go with the fondue but we had trouble finishing them and were fighting for the the roasted potatoes that came with the wings. For Asians trying real Swiss fondue the first time, this is not for the faint-hearted. It was a delightful meal, though it set us back by about CHF98. I liked that the restaurant had other options apart from fondue and it's a great place for groups if you can't agree on what to eat. ”

“ Super delicious and yummy cheese fondue! Service was great - the staff had a wide smile on and they were really attentive. We made a reservation beforehand and were seated by the window. Very cozy - interestingly it was the last guild house in the area! Thanks for giving us a great time at Lucerne~ ”
